Digital Nomad Jobs – More Nomad News from Nowhere. Issue 7.

Twigeon flew the nest about 3 days before we left Tomar! It was emotional.

Hello and welcome back to more nomad news from nowhere. I can only apologize to the core base of readers for the delay in between posts and would like to do so individually. Sorry, Margarida. Sorry, Brian. I promise to make it up to you both by delivering 2 (yes, I said it, 2!) issues of your favorite informative, yet interesting time killer this week. Right. that’s the formalities out-of-the-way, let’s get on with the news.

Here’s your list of the latest jobs for digital nomads from remote OK and, as a cheeky extra, have a look at the We Work Remotely job listings if, you know, you want to work remotely.

I like this collection of articles and links. I think you might as well.

It’s officially Summer, think how much more fun you could be having if you were living it up on the French Riviera as a digital nomad rather than schlepping away at an awful office just in Birmingham. You might not have the necessary skills to make that happen this year but by taking an online course with Udemy you can get a head start on the next!  Find and follow your new digital nomad future here!

I have a cat, you may have seen her in several of the pictures that accompany these words. She is a bit of an idiot and is practically a nightmare to travel with. However, not all animals are as incredibly ungrateful, whiny and insane as little Mrs. Columbo/Geeston/pain in the a*se. You may have a pet you want to share your nomad adventures with? If you do you should have a quick look at this article from Nomadtopia to help give you a greater idea of the process. If that’s not enough to put you off (just joking) then this probably will (not joking). Airline pet policies brought to you by pettravel.com.

Are you going to Spain for your Summer holidays? You might be interested in the 10 best beach bars as recommended by readers of The Guardian. There’ll be more from them later.

This! This is the kind of thing that everyone likes. Free stuff! Here you will find a collection of 31 free eBooks for digital nomads. Choosy traveler, you should give yourself a pat on the back.

Hey girls, do you want a digital nomad blog just for you? That’s a little bit sexist* but fair enough, you can find one here. Also, I read it, it’s pretty good, as is the website as a whole.
*My tongue could not be further in my cheek at this point.

I don’t want to turn this nomad news from nowhere newsletter into a job board but this website might have the best and worst name I have ever heard. Travel Massive Jobs! They are currently offering positions in over 50 countries worldwide. That’s massive.

I needed some productivity tips. I googled digital nomads productivity tips. I found this. I am now a 7% more productive than when I first read the article. That was 15 minutes ago. Imagine how much more productive I will be by this time tomorrow!

With my new-found levels of productivity, I will hopefully be ramping up the output on this website as well as the digital nomad Pinterest page which you can find here. Expect to be seeing a lot more travel tips, pretty city pictures and language lessons pinned to my board (that’s right yeah?) in the coming days.

Recipe of the week. Depending on where you are in the world you might be experiencing the phenomena known as ‘Meh, it’s too hot to cook-itis.’ I know that I am. It’s ridiculous to be expected to stand over a hot oven in this heat. I tip my hat to all you chefs out there. Anyway, back to the point. The recipe for this week is an incredibly simple accompaniment to practically any grilled meat or fish, fajitas, or nachos/chips. It’s a salsa! A pure, delicious, healthy salsa. I am making one after I finish writing this to go with my vaguely Mexican inspired dinner of spicy potato wedges, sweetcorn fritters, refried beans and nachos. Possibly with some guacamole.*
*There are 4 of us eating it, it’s not all just for me.

An accompaniment to the recipe of the week is this list of 20 lessons learned whilst cooking on holiday. It’s quite good fun. Well, if you like slightly snarky lists, which I do.

Song of the week 1.

Song of the week 2. This one is a bit sad.

Okie Dokie. Well, there we go for this Tuesday edition of Nomad News from Nowhere. Normal business will be resumed on Friday. If you’ve anything you’d like included in issue 8 please don’t hesitate to get in touch via email, Facebook or twitter. I’m pretty sure I’ll be able to find a space for you. Enjoy the middle of the week!
